PROJECT
DROP SHOT
New York // New York
During a time in which the aperture feels like a black hole - a burden on how you view the world. Lacking creativity the frames were becoming compositions I had seen before. Perspective needed a reboot, prints needed to be burned and emotion was sought. The lens felt as though it was broken, and I wasn’t seeing what needed to be a still.
Project Drop Shot explores freedom in how I see the world - not only as an artist but as a human. Attaching shutter to emotion ties reaction to documentation leading to rawness, transparency and truth in the craft. This view from an arms length felt as though it was from the another planet - providing the boost of oxygen needed to reset.

There isn’t anything better than the voids of New York City - the outright personality and boldness of people, pigeons and inanimate objects have never lit me up more. My creative juices are squeezed on these streets, avenues and boulevards.
You can’t find a cross section of the world more than here, and all you have to do is look at it through a different lens. Or maybe just open up those eyes that we often take for granted. Let the images connect to your heart and allow it to beat. This is my oxygen - breathe in | breath out.
